Schoolboy Q Las Vegas Concert reviews
A Great Show...BUT!
Upon arrival, I was also impressed with the venue. The Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater is a very nicely designed performance center, with excellent acoustics.
Thinks "quickly went downhill," when I found out that my (very expensive) seats were NOT covered by the enormous dome covering the venue, and therefore, "soaking wet" when my wife and our guests sat down.
I've seen them several times, including 5th row floor seats in 1978?? When I was but a "wee lad!" The "Schoolboy Q" put on a "great show" as always.
Compounding that fact, was the issue that I had forgotten my wallet. "No problem," you say, as I had a "pocketful of cash?" Not so!
Moments after I sat down, I went for a round of drinks (with a wet ass and back, mind you) only to discover that the venue "does not accept cash" at the concessions for (again, very expensive drinks, at $60 plus tip for four beers/coolers) purchases.
I promptly loaded the card into the machine and deposited another C-note. What happened next? You guessed it! The machine spit out my card...with $100 on it. NOT the hundred plus the $30 ($130) from the previous trip!
Low and behold, back to the "prepaid debit card machine," as the $30 left on the card was not enough to cover the drinks a second time.
Thirty to fourty minutes later, I was in the "same predicament," as we were "treating the other couple," as they were "instrumental to my business success."
I went back to the concession stand, (missing a couple of good songs in the process) and handed him the card, after loading a C-note onto the card at the machine.
As I did not have my debit/credit cards due to forgetting my wallet, I was directed down the breezeway to a breezeway to "prepaid debit card machine," dispensing a Visa-sponsored debit card, suspiciously called ReadyCard.
I guess CAVEAT EMPTOR is the way I would describe my experience, because as we all know, N.Y.S.E. listed "V" always needs "more free money!!!"
